The story of DJ Rudi began in Saint Petersburg in the early 2000s. At that time, he performed under the name DJ Radius and became a resident of the experimental club Planeta — one of the venues that helped shape the city’s emerging club scene. Even in his earliest sets, his desire to move beyond a single genre was clear: he combined different shades of electronic music and built each set as a complete mood.
By the mid-2000s, Rudi was becoming increasingly active on the Saint Petersburg scene. In 2006, he appeared in the program of Dance Planet Tendance alongside Tocadisco, Fedde Le Grand, Marco V and other artists. In 2007, he joined the lineup of Castle Dance Ice Edition. This period became an important school for him — a time of club culture, large dancefloors and learning how to work with different audiences.
Over the years, his musical language became softer, deeper and more precise. Direct club energy gradually gave way to balearic, downtempo, disco, deep house and rare vinyl records — music where rhythm matters, but so do space, atmosphere and feeling. In 2017–2018, DJ Rudi performed as part of the Stereoleto festival program.
Today, DJ Rudi lives and plays in Phuket. He has held residencies and performed at OUTRIGGER Surin Beach, Carpe Diem Beach Club and Zuma Bangkok, and in 2025 joined the team at Fira Beach Club. Alongside his venue work, Rudi hosts the monthly OFM Balearic program on Bangkok Community Radio and continues to play music on vinyl records and tours internationally.
